Iowa School Report Cards

Iowa Department of Education released a new online system created to evaluate and rate public schools.  The Iowa School Report Card is a rating based on each school's performance over a two-year span.

Reports reflect rankings of exceptional, high-performing, commendable, acceptable, needs improvement or priority based on data from the 2013-14 and 2014-15 school years.

The following factors are included in the Report Card rating system:  Attendance, Staff Retention, Proficiency (in reading and mathematics in annual Iowa Assessment tests), College and Career-Ready Growth, Annual Expected Growth (students making a year of academic growth in a year’s time on reading and mathematics assessments in annual Iowa Assessment tests), Closing Achievement Gap, College and Career Readiness, and Graduation Rate.
